A partial dispute occurs when a customer disputes only a portion of a transaction, rather than the entire transaction amount. Despite this, merchants still face the same fees as with a full dispute. To handle partial disputes, merchants should treat them as seriously as full ones, investigating their validity and potential fraud.

To find the receipt for a partial dispute, follow these steps:

  1. Check the chargeback letter to find the original transaction amount, transaction date, and last 4 digits of the card number.
  2. Navigate to the transaction history and apply a date range filter that aligns with the original transaction date.
  3. Locate the receipt by comparing the original transaction amount, transaction date, and last 4 digits of the card number with the details provided in the chargeback letter.
  4. Once you find the receipt, send a copy to the provided email or phone number.

By following these steps, you can effectively handle partial disputes in a professional manner.
